Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive

Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive
Privacy has become a very important commodity nowadays. With the world becoming increasingly wired and connected, it seems that everything is already out in the open. The openness of the Web has allowed information to become more accessible to the public. This can sometimes even include private or personal data not meant for public eyes. Many devices today aim to help protect such sensitive information at many levels. One of such devices is this new Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive. The Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive is a device that ensures access to sensitive information can be limited to those who matter. Since information transfer from computer to computer has become quite easy and convenient with USB flash drives, it is important that files be protected at this stage before they can easily be disseminated indiscriminately. The Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive will do this by using a hardware-based encryption process to protect files and data.
This secure flash drive makes use of a built-in mini-keypad for authenticating access. Users first need to enter the secure PIN on the Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive to access the data stored into it. Entering the correct PIN will unlock all the data stored in the flash drive for access. Once the flash drive is removed from the USB port, it relocks automatically and encrypts the stored media using military grade AES 256-bit encryption.
The Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive also comes with a built-in battery for the power it needs during the authentication process. In case it gets stolen or lost, this secure flash drive comes with a Brute Force Hack Defense Mechanism that will erase all the stored data inside after 10 consecutive unsuccessful attempts to guess the PIN. For its features, the Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive also comes with a FIPS or Federal Information Processing Standards Publication 140-2 Level 3 certification required by data security sensitive entities such as the government, as well as the health and financial industries. The Toshiba Encrypted USB Flash Drive is now available at selected retailers in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models for $95, $112, $140, and $200, respectively.
